Belly Dancing Asha’s World Fusion Belly Dance is based in the traditional Egyptian and Turkish style with influences from Persian, African, Indian, Moroccan, Brazilian, Flamingo and American Nightclub. Learn how to isolate and control the muscles of your body while learning basic belly dance moves. You will also learn good posture, build muscle strength and self-esteem. Learn a choreographed routine with a veil. Learn various dance combinations, improvisation and choreographed routines. Learn how to use props such as zils (finger cymbals), veils, swords, trays and baskets. |

Breathwalk is the science of combining specific patterns of breathing synchronized with your walking steps and enhanced with the art of directed, meditative attention. Breathwalk improves your energy level, mood control, refined mental quality and feeling of connectedness. Each class opens with awakeners (breath and movement exercises) then a walk (wear good walking shoes) and closes with stretching and a guided relaxation. |

Hatha Yoga is a system of exercises which originated in India several thousand years ago. This class includes postures, stretching, diaphragmatic breathing and relaxation. Its purpose is to bring balance, relaxation, and calmness to the individual. Regular practice can give a person increased vitality and an ongoing sense of well being. |

Kundalini is a complete yoga practice that creates transformation and establishes an aligned relationship between the body, mind and the soul. Kundalini Yoga facilitates the flow of pranic and spiritual energy, in particular along the spinal energy channels and through the chakras. The use of pranayam, asana, mantra and meditation in class combats the maladies of modern living, helps reduce stress, removes negativity and eliminates depression. Kundalini Yoga's purpose is to extend your awareness in your consciousness so you can have this foundation in experience and a base in positive habits. Then you can smoothly plan your life to any extent you like. The power of Kundalini Yoga lies in the actual experience. It goes right to your heart and extends your consciousness so you may have a wider horizon of grace and of knowing the truth. Vinyasa is a style of yoga in which breath and yoga postures are integrated into flowing movement to increase strength, balance, flexibility and to prepare you for meditation. Class begins with stretching and postures, you will then learn (over a 6 week series) a complete vinyasa, class ends with pranayama and meditation. Beginning and intermediate classes are offered. |

Yoga for Every Body. Introductory level class for those with special health concerns such as injury, arthritis, joint replacements, difficulty getting to the floor or re-entering an exercise program. The entire class can be done in a chair. |

Yoga for Kids This fun class includes activities such as Musical Asana, Asana Relay, Asana Tag, and Yoga Art along with a brief history and understanding, safety procedures, stretching techniques, fun poses and postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation for younger children ages 6 to 10. |

Yoga for Scleroderma This class is based on the program Kathy developed for people with Scleroderma, but will be appropriate for those seeking to improve mobility limited by other conditions such as arthritis and fibromyalgia. This gentle practice can be done seated in a chair, so will be excellent for persons in wheelchairs. Cost is FREE although donations are accepted - more info |

Yoga for the Special Child is designed specifically to benefit children with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Attention Deficit Disorder, Learning Disabilities and other developmental delays. During the sessions, children will learn a step-by-step integrated system of yoga poses designed to increase cognitive and motor skills. They will also learn specialized breathing exercises and relaxation techniques to improve concentration and reduce hyperactivity. Pre-registration required. Full Details in English / in Spanish |

Yoga for Teens Though all of Jonell's classes follow a traditional Hatha yoga style, teen classes tend to involve more postures, breathing exercises, and lower energy activities than the Yoga for Kids classes. Includes a brief history and understanding, safety procedures, stretching techniques, fun poses and postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation for older children ages 11 to 15. |
